About Us

Caribbeanroadsafety.com was born out of a passion for creating safer roads in the Caribbean. Our founder Wendy Barker, a road safety expert with over 18 years of experience, has witnessed the devastating impact of road accidents in Barbados and decided to take action.

 

Wendy is a UK qualified  Grade 'A' D.V.S.A (Driver vehicle and Standards Agency) approved Driving Instructor (A.D.I) and owner of Bee Free driving School in London. Wendy  has worked on various initiatives from training Young Drivers, assessing volunteer drivers for the London 2012 Olympics, to training Company Drivers for companies such as Massy. Wendy has worked as part of the Driver Training team at Bushy Park, Barbados  alongside super licence holder Steve Deeks to deliver training to the Barbados Ambulance Service as well as company drivers from other local companies.

 

A PCV licence  holder, Wendy has experience driving  the iconic red double decker buses in London and  'bendy buses' at Stansted airport shuttle service.  Wendy is passionate about delivering training in road safety having worked as a Trainer for one of the largest Bus Operator companies in the UK as well as been a Training Development Officer delivering the Bus Driver Apprenticeship programme.

 

Through our Road Safety Workshops, Awareness Campaigns, and Driver Training Programs, we aim to educate and empower individuals to make responsible choices on the road. With a deep commitment to saving lives, we continue to drive change and make a positive impact in our community.
